Jakko

Jakko has been a professional musician since his teens. Initially carving out something of a reputation as a guitarist. Jakko went on to play on 1000's of records that cover the musical gamut from big selling pop albums, to the experimental avant garde.

His reputation as a guitar player eventually led to him being asked to join the multi-million selling Level 42, with whom Jakko toured and recorded for four years and was included in 'Guitarist' magazine's list of the 'Worlds Top 50 Guitarists' of the 80s'.

Jakko has released four solo albums and his collaborative projects include three albums with ex-members of Japan, and the award winning 'We Never Had It So Good', which he produced and co-wrote for Tom Robinson. 2011 saw the release of 'A Scarcity Of Miracles', as a 'King Crimson ProjeKct' the album was produced and co-written with founding Crimson member Robert Fripp and has received much critical acclaim.

He continues to play and sing on numerous albums, and 2012 has seen the release of recordings featuring Jakko by ex-Genesis guitar player Steve Hackett titled 'Re Genesis II' and The Kinks to name but two of many. Something of a multi-instrumentalist, his interest in World music lead him to become one of Carlin Music Library's main composers of their vast ethnic catalog.
