The Road To Ballina

Jakko was commissioned by BBC Radio 3 to compose a forty-five minute composition based on his life and the extraordinary lives of his far-flung family. The finished piece, 'The Road To Ballina', received a glowing national press for it's original and inventive combination of music and speech.

Jakko completed another commission for Radio 3 for their series of experimental compositions 'Between the Ears'. 'The Church of Lanza' was broadcast to great critical acclaim once more. Both Pieces were nominated for Sony Radio Awards'.

He has been recomissioned by Radio 3 and his new piece 'A Day At The Wasteland' about the unlikely friendship between TS Eliot and Groucho Marx, is due for broadcast in the spring of 2013.
